Astra Lounge

Hit Astra's for dinner...
the ambience was pretty kewl...a few q80 gals but quite uppity...
music was chillin like thievery corporation..
had a projector showin mbc2 on silent mode...

Food was iffy...
the main dishes - salmon - was pretty good...
lamb chops felt like lamb soup..shitloads of potatoes and some carrots...but tasted nice..
cheese cake was ok....tiramisu was nice & thick..
coffee was awesome...
total bill for 2 ppl - KD. 15/-

Wud definitely go there again but with a bunch of ma friends to hang out for some coffee but i doubt id eat there again..

Hit Marina Hotel today for breakfast....

Very kewl layout...on the way down to the restaurant...

The spread was pretty good. Breakfast was 6KD per person but definitely better than the Hilton & the Marriott Courtyard, in terms of pricing & quality.

Everything was smooth sailing....

Took a drive this morning....

Popped into Johnny Rockets for breakfast...

Bounced into the bookstore...(Investor Africa...caught ma eye)

This lounge was attached to the bookstore....kewl...

Got me a new toy (misbah) today :)

& then making my way back home....

Memories...of my previous job.....

Started off as a sales executive at Kuwait this month

6 months later, became the marketing manager...

2 years later & with a new managing director & a sales staff, an assistant marketing manager & the design agency that came up with the kewl new layout - www.thekavli.com

my pride and joy :) showed my state of mind & my annoyance at the big boss...I quit after the May, 2006 edition.

KTM, unfortunately shut down in September, 2006.

Day of Silence - June 26, 2007

I took the day off on June 26th to reflect on it being the international day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking.

I am naturally against abusing anything...

Thank God for my counsellors and goa :)

Casper & Gambini's restaurant

Hit the restaurant for lunch the other day at c&g's. normally, my fav food here b the chicken pasta...superawesome.



But for lunch, i had me one of those executive lunches. they got a plate for KD. 5/-that included starters (choice of greek salad or green salad - difference being a few cubes of cheese in the greek as opposed to green peppers in the green),


the main dish - a choice between steak or salmon...


& dessert (chocolate cake or strawberry cheese cake - the cheesecake was way better than the choco).



quite happy with the service. pricing is worth the quality of the food.
me give dem boyz at c&g a whoppin 9/10.

The start of me journey...

am pretty late in the game but ive decided to create this blog mainly because i will be running out of space to put up my pictures. also, ive wanted to start one for some time but there's been a lack of motivation/desire/blah blah.



this blog will mostly consist of stuff i find interesting.
